The Retreat House is a
four-bedroom house located near the headwaters of Whoop &
Holler Lake. It comfortably sleeps 20 persons. It has central air/heat, 2 1/2 baths, a large kitchen and dining area, and a terrific deck.
The Retreat House grounds include a 24-foot above-ground pool, volleyball and horseshoes -- all for
your exclusive use. Guests will be able to hike on most of our
150 acres, as well as enjoy fishing in our private lake or in the
Pecan Bayou.

The Retreat House is ideal for smaller reunions or friends who just
want to get together and enjoy a weekend away from the city.
Three RV hook-ups are also available for rent by persons who are
part of a group staying at the Retreat House.
Unlike the Main Campground, the Retreat House is not adjacent to
our lake, but all guests still have access to the lake. Children will need to be accompanied by an adult
when they visit the lake for fishing or paddle boating. The
Pecan Bayou, which is most easily accessible by truck, can be
reached via a long hike over rocky terrain. Although this hike
can be rugged, it is quite scenic.
Retreat House guests have exclusive access to areas within the
house's fence which includes the pool, etc. However, they do not have access to the Main Campground
playground.
The kitchen includes two standard refrigerators, a 4-burner electric stove
with self-cleaning oven, a microwave oven, toaster and
coffee pot. It has an assortment of serving dishes, utensils, cups,
glasses, pots, pans, and other items -- everything you need to be
able to cook
(except the food!). You'll need to provide your own plastic/paper
goods as well as salt, pepper, sugar and other condiments.
There is not a dishwasher, so we suggest you use paper products for
serving. Bed linens are provided, but guests will need to bring their own
bath linens. Maid service is not provided during your
stay. Although there is a swing and several wooden
lawn chairs on the deck, you might want to bring your favorite
comfortable lawn chairs. Metal folding chairs are available. Sleeping
accommodations are as follows:
