97-year old Grandma McNeil, who made all these
beautiful quilts, enjoys reunion at Retreat House |
Reunions and Retreats in Central Texas Since the 1980s, the Whoop & Holler Ranch has hosted overnight
reunions, parties and get-togethers. Our
Main
Campground includes 10 air-conditioned cabins and rooms sleeping a total of 46
persons, RV hook-ups, a dining hall with a large kitchen, a
playground, swimming pool, shower house, and Bar-B-Q area. Our
Retreat House sleeps 20 and
is great for smaller groups or adding more accommodations to your
larger group. When your group stays with us, you can enjoy rustic
beauty, including fishing in our large private lake or along almost
a mile of river where our ranch borders the scenic Pecan Bayou.
Besides fishing, guests can enjoy other
activities
such as volleyball, horseshoes, hiking, boating, picnicking, swimming and
more. An interesting hiking destination on our ranch is a bedrock
mortar Indian site. We also have a limited amount of special day
hunting available during the fall and
winter when the Main Campground is not rented. |

Centrally located in Mills County.

Most of our guests have been coming to the Whoop &
Holler Ranch for several years. Why?
-
It's private...when you rent the
Main Campground,
you can know who is in the
cabin next to you.
-
It's affordable...
-
It's easier to watch your children...the
Main Campground playground is located right across from the dining hall porch...
and the Retreat House play area is right next to the deck.
-
It's located in central Texas...many families
drive from all over Texas, as well as from Oregon, New Mexico,
Louisiana, and other states.
-
And...you can whoop and holler without bothering
the neighbors!
